Where are the best places to run in Patagonia?

Patagonia has a variety of incredible trails for running on both the Chilean and Argentinian side. Taking a running vacation in Patagonia offers everything from remote and off-trail adventuring to smooth singletrack and unforgettable vistas. On our Patagonia Runcation in 2022, we’ll visit some of our favorite runnable trails around El Calafate and El Chaltén, Argentina. El Chaltén, Argentina is known as the capital of trekking in Argentina, and we enjoy a mixture of wild trails not on maps as well as famous runnable routes to views of Fitz Roy and Laguna de los Tres. Best Places to Stay for a Running Vacation in Argentina

If you’re looking to wake up to views of the incredibly wild landscape of Patagonia, there are plenty of options to camp or stay at a variety of different mountain huts, or refugios. Most people trek the camping and refugio circuits over several days, but we have our baggage transported on our Patagonia running vacation. On our Patagonia Runcation this March, we stay at a private refugio with comfortable beds, a full kitchen, and a glacier for a backyard. We also stay in 3 and 4-star hotels and bed and breakfasts throughout the majority of the trip with private rooms and bathrooms. We think this offers the best mixture of experiences for a perfect running holiday. Depending on what type of accommodation you’re looking for, Patagonia has it all!

Enjoy glacier views, crepes, and Malbec from our Patagonia refugio!
