Featured Patagonia Runcation Run
This week our recommended run is one of the featured runs on our Patagonia Runcation! For prime views of Monte Fitz Roy framed by an alpine lake, we love this trail run to Laguna de los Tres.
Starting from the town of El Chaltén at the Laguna De Los Tres trailhead, climb your way up at a steady grade before the trail levels off to a runnable surface. Cross your fingers for clear weather and views of Fitz Roy from Laguna Capri before a final steep 1km climb to the top of a moraine where you’re rewarded with front row views from Laguna de los Tres. An out and back will put you close to 13 miles with just under 3,000 feet of elevation gain.
