Spotlight on Slovenia
Runcation Travel currently wrapped up a Slovenia scouting trip and we're excited to share more info with you soon! From aquamarine lakes, lush valleys with wildflowers, and high karst plateus of the Julian Alps, Slovenia is the perfect spot for a Runcation. Summit Slovenia's Highest Mountain
One of our recommended adventures in Slovenia is summiting the highest mountain in the country. Triglav stands at 2864m, or 9396 feet. There’s now a via ferrata route of bolted cables leading the top, making the summit a popular destination for tourists and locals. The Aljaž tower was established at the top first as a shelter, but now stands as a symbolic ‘baptistery’ for those summiting for the first time. As we made our way up, passing clouds revealed some pretty spectacular views for brief moments before burying them again.
